Established in 1987 AD with a view to promote Children's Literature and reading activities in Nepal bringing together the writers, illustrators, editors of Children's books as well as publishers, librarians, teachers, and experts involved in Children's activities.

We solicit your support in any of the programmes of your interest listed here:

• Establish an award for the writers/ illustrators/ publishers of the children's books.
• Grant a fund to publish the journal Bal-Sahitya.
• Support for publication fund.
• Sponsor for a special publication for children.
• Support for children's reading programmes.
• Support for the development of children's library.
• Any other programme in the field of children's literature and reading.
